The Club’s iconic 100-year-old, heritage-listed Clubhouse is currently closed for a $20 million renovation and restoration. Scheduled to reopen in late 2025, the revitalised Clubhouse will continue to offer its renowned charm and hospitality, including the accommodation on the upper level. Guests with existing annual bookings will be kept informed and provided with reopening details as they become available.

Accommodation in the Clubhouse
Travellers have been making use of the accommodation facilities within the iconic Barwon Heads Clubhouse since 1924.
There are 19 ensuite rooms available for those visiting Barwon Heads seeking a traditional, service-oriented experience.
The accommodation rates vary according to the type of room and the package chosen.
Accommodation tariffs include Wi-Fi in all rooms, use of the Club’s tennis courts and billiards room and access to the driving range, short-game practice area and complimentary use of the Club’s Par-3 course.
Full Board Tariff
The ideal way to partake in one of Australia’s best golf experiences.
Rate is per person per night. Includes one round of 18 holes of golf, breakfast, lunch and an a la carte dinner.

Bed & Breakfast Tariff
The bed and breakfast rate is per room per night (max. two guests) and includes:
- An à la carte breakfast with an espresso coffee or tea and juice.
- Golf is not included in this rate but can be added to your package (subject to availability).

Accommodation Booking Policies
- Tariffs: Subject to change.
- Cancellations:
- Free cancellation up to seven days prior to the arrival date.
- Within seven days: $TBC per person per night.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows: Full tariff applies.
- Payment: Unless there are special circumstances, your booking will be charged to the card number supplied or to your member account seven days prior to your stay. Accounts for sundry charges during your stay are to be settled on departure. Members may apply these charges to their house account.
- Special rates: At certain times of the year the Club may offer special rates for new bookings. Click here to view the selection.
- Groups: The Club specialises in bespoke experiences for small golf groups. Your enquiry is welcomed.
Golf
Visitor Green Fees
The Club welcomes visitor play during non-peak times:
- Availability: Most Mondays and Fridays, and Tuesday–Thursday afternoons after member competition times.
- Peak periods: Weekends, public holidays and 26 December to the Australia Day long weekend, where play is usually unavailable or extremely limited.
- Limited time: For a short period, while the Clubhouse is closed for renovations, additional tee times usually reserved for house guests are being made available to visitors. Please check https://www.barwonheads.golf/cms/public-bookings/ for availability and bookings.
Generally, visitors wishing to access the course during peak and more popular times (e.g. January, weekends, holidays etc. prior to competition times) can do so by staying in the Clubhouse and enjoying one of Australia’s great golf experiences. Clubhouse accommodation guests on the full board package receive guaranteed tee times for an included round of golf on most days of the year.

House Guest Green Fees
Tee Times & Additional Rounds
Tee times for house guests on the full board package can be reserved if pre-arranged at least eight days prior and are usually reserved at the time of making their accommodation booking.
- Daily allocation: Usually between 8:00am and 10:00am for house guests.
- Tuesday restrictions: Tee times must be before 8:00am or after 1:00pm.
Subject to availability, guests staying on the Bed & Breakfast package may be entitled to a reduced green fee rate. Guests staying on the Full Board package are also entitled to this reduced rate should they wish to play more than the included 18 holes. This rate will be published in mid-2025.
